Tech puts 167 on East Central

Lubbock, Texas -- Trevor Cook scored a career-high 20 points as Texas Tech defeated East Central 167-116 Thursday night in the Legends Classic.

Cook was one of 10 players in double figures for Texas Tech, which easily eclipsed the record for most points scored by the Red Raiders.

Dontae Figgs scored 19 points to lead six East Central players in double figures.

Wally Dunn hit a 3-pointer with 7:43 left in the second half to give Tech 130 points, breaking the record of 128 points scored by Texas Tech in a double overtime win against Texas on Feb. 20, 1994.

Texas Tech (3-0) had 77 points in the first half.

- Oklahoma St. 91, Tulsa 73: At Stillwater, Okla., Byron Eaton scored 26 points and had seven assists in leading Oklahoma State to a victory over Tulsa.

James Anderson and Ibrahima Thomas each added 18 points and Obi Muonelo pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds for the Cowboys (3-0).

Missouri Valley

- Creighton 82, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 50: At Omaha, Neb., Cavel Witter led four Creighton players in double figures with 15 points in the Bluejays' win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff.

Justin Carter added 13 points while Kenny Lawson and Kenton Walker each scored 10 for Creighton in a game that featured 50 total fouls, 59 free throws and 48 turnovers.

- No. 10 Duke 83, Southern Illinois 58: At New York, Gerald Henderson scored all 20 of his points in the second half, finally helping No. 10 Duke find some offensive rhythm in a victory over Southern Illinois in the semifinals of the 2K Sports Classic.

Carlton Fay had 17 points to lead Southern Illinois (2-1).
