Founder Sue Garard of Elkland will host an open house and reception from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Potter Mansion in Fair Grove.

Open house will continue 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and 1:30-4:30 p.m. Sunday.

The house is at 11505 N. Farm Road 221 in Fair Grove. Chocolate, coffee and hors d'oeuvres will be served. There will be gifts and candy canes for children.

Garard is asking everyone who attends to donate a stuffed bear to go to the 76 boys now living at the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch, where she is a volunteer teacher.

Garard and the Fair Grove Baptist Church provide a Christmas party for the boys every year with donated gifts.

This year, the party will be Dec. 13.

During the three-day open house, Garard will share other projects the Mustard Seed Foundation is working on, including purchase of 200 acres in Marshfield to build "Camp Promise" for American Indian and abandoned children.
