Fordland man dies from crash injuries

A Fordland man injured during the noon hour Wednesday in a two-car crash on U.S. 60 near Rogersville died Wednesday night of his injuries, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.

Clarence E. Evans, 45, was pronounced dead at 9:25 p.m. at Cox South hospital, where he had been taken for treatment after a 12:35 p.m. crash two miles east of Rogersville.

Evans was injured when he drove his northbound 2001 Ford Escort into the path of an westbound 2002 Oldsmobile driven by Michelle L. Caudill, 45, of Springfield.

Caudill was treated at Cox South for moderate injuries. Both drivers wore seat belts, according to the patrol.
