Concordia -- Authorities have identified a headless, handless body found six months ago along Interstate 70, about 60 miles east of Kansas City.

The Kansas City Star said on its Web site Thursday that the victim is 29-year-old Monteze E. Murrell, a Raytown man reported missing to Raytown police on June 9. Authorities identified him though a DNA profile developed from the body.
Findings by the Jackson County Coroner's Office and evidence at the scene indicated that Murrell was killed elsewhere and that his body was dumped near Concordia in rural Lafayette County.
Investigators say they matched a DNA profile made from Murrell's toothbrush to a sample from the body.
A resident who was repairing a fence spotted the body. Investigators say the nude body was partially burned.
