Thorns for dumping of half-dozen dogs

November 20, 2008

Many thorns to whomever dumped four puppies and two adolescent dogs at the CCAS Thrift Shop in Nixa. We are not a shelter. For 15 years we have tried to put an animal shelter in Christian County. Again and again, our efforts have been thwarted by ignorance and stupidity.

We have 200-plus homeless dogs at any given time. They are in foster homes and at vet clinics (for lack of foster homes). We pay for and take responsibility for these animals. We are in great debt for these animals. If you find or have animals who need help. please "man up" and take care of them. The two adolescent dogs are still running as they are terrified of humans. I wonder if you caused this. I pray they are not hit in Nixa traffic.

Please support our efforts to build a shelter and in the meantime, take care of your own dogs, as we have far more than our share to care for.
