On October 18th, many local martial arts students from Ozark, Nixa, and Springfield competed in Grandmaster Han's Missouri State Championships. Held in Rolla, Missouri, over one hundred competitors from southwest Missouri traveled to the tournament in hopes of bringing home a first place trophy.

Many students from Grandmaster Han's Ozark Martial Arts were not only able to bring home a 1st place trophy, many brought home two trophies, one in Forms competition where competitors must perform a memorized set of movements with a balance of grace, speed, power and intensity; and another trophy in Sparring competition where students use a variety of different techniques to score points on their opponents with kicks and punches. Trophies weren'tt the only thing folks from community were interested in. Many looked forward to doing their best and having a great time seeing fellow students from across the state. Most of the students that competed in Rolla on the 18th went on to compete in the Arkansas State Championships last weekend in Conway.
