Charlotte, N.C. -- Dirk Nowitzki scored 32 points, Josh Howard added 21 and the Dallas Mavericks never trailed in a 100-83 rout of the Charlotte Bobcats on Tuesday night, delighting owner Mark Cuban a day after he was charged with insider trading.

With Cuban sitting along the baseline and as animated as usual, the Mavericks toyed with the lifeless, undermanned Bobcats in their second straight win.

- Cavaliers 106, Nets 82: At East Rutherford, N.J., LeBron James scored 31 points in showing the New York metropolitan area what might be on the free agency market in 2010 and the Cavaliers rolled to their eighth straight win with a decision over the Nets.
James added eight rebounds, four assists and a remarkable blocked shot on a play late in the third quarter when he chased down Nets point guard Devin Harris on a fastbreak and prevented a dunk.

- Magic 103, Raptors 90: At Orlando, Fla., Jameer Nelson scored a season-high 22 points to lead Orlando to a win over the Raptors, overcoming a season-high 40-point effort by Chris Bosh.

- Celtics 110, Knicks 101: At Boston, Brian Scalabrine, in the starting lineup while Kevin Garnett served a one-game suspension, hit a 3-pointer with 1:14 left to help Boston recover after its 15-point, fourth-quarter lead was trimmed to four and the Celtics beat New York.
Paul Pierce scored 22 for the Celtics, who played without Garnett for the first time this season.
- Grizzlies 109, Kings 94: At Memphis, Rudy Gay scored 22 points and Memphis shot a season-high 54 percent to help the Grizzlies snap a four-game losing streak.
Hakim Warrick added 21 points and 10 rebounds. John Salmons led the Kings with 18 points.
