Justin Coleman, 20, pleaded not guilty to the charge of being a minor in possession of alcohol, the Stone County Circuit Court confirmed. He is scheduled to appear next in court at 10 a.m. Jan. 20.

He was one of 16 people charged with underage drinking at the Sept. 13 bid day party that took place in a field along the Stone-Christian county line. Bid day is when potential fraternity and sorority members learn if they've been accepted.

Ten of the other minors pleaded not guilty to the charge when they appeared in court last month. All are scheduled for court next in January, according to electronic court records.

The five other minors charged with illegally possessing alcohol have court dates in December, electronic court records show.
